Does It Really Take Money To Make Money?

How about a better question… wouldn’t it be nice to make money that you can use to make more money?

HUH?

I’m going to cover 2 ideas in this post.

1. How to make money that will make even more money.

2. Providing value by using the training put together by other leading marketers.

These can work together.

The idea of making money that will make you more money is commonly known as a self funded proposal. This is upfront retail sales made of generic products and services that pay a commission to affiliates.

Why would you want to go to this trouble?

1. Not everyone is going to want to join your business. If you have nothing else to offer them then you are done. That doesn’t mean you throw one product after another at them until you get a sale. Quite the opposite, if you’ve kept up with the series of posts (Click Here to go to the beginning) you should know by now that you need to build a value based relationship and learn people’s needs.

2. Worst case scenario. You primary company changes its plans and decides to go out of business, or maybe stay in business and market themselves directly and end their Network Marketing compensation (it happens,,, it happened to me). If you were relying on just one source of income in that situation then you’re in trouble.

3. Put the money to use. These commissions aren’t huge, but they add up. Reinvest that money to fund your advertising. Hence “self funded proposal”.

Now the second part. Use a program that not only pays you affiliate commissions but allows you to share the content and training that they provide with others. This is how you leverage the efforts of others in order to provide value to your list.

There’s more than one way to do this also.

1. Share links to recorded trainings put on by leading members within the system/product you are promoting.

2. Take a part of that training and present it in your own words either in a blog, newsletter, video, article, or webcast.

I’m sure you’re thinking “how can everyone be spreading the same info without looking like clones?”

Retelling it in your own words makes it your own. Have you ever noticed that in any section of Barnes & Noble there’s many authors on each subject? It’s the same information but presented in a unique way by each person.

It’s the same with Network Marketing. There’s a lot of knowledgeable people teaching the same principles and techniques. But the one that connects with you and can convey that information in a way that you relate to and understand is the one you will listen to and learn the most from.

Those who can teach others and steer them down their own unique path of success show leadership. More on that in the next post……
