You’ve Got Leads! Now What?
You’ve Got Leads
Last week I began with a post regarding lead conversion, what to do with people once they get to your website. Because traffic to your website is useless if people don’t know what to do once they get there. (Click Here for the lead generation post)
Of course traffic generation is just as important because if no one sees your site then no one will ever convert into a lead. There’s too many types of traffic generation to cover in one post Click Here to hear it straight from the experts.
With the elements of traffic generation and lead generation in place you have the recipe to build a list of contacts that will turn from cold suspects into warm prospects.
However, rarely will they purchase anything from you, or join your company without having built a relationship first. Because they are skeptical, they have doubts, they want to know if what you say is real and if it really works.
So here’s the key: Good Follow Up.
Send them training, education, and value. It must be good or else they will just unsubscribe. Provide training and they will keep you. Now, we’re network marketers here and understand the value of leveraging other people’s time and efforts. So don’t believe for a second that you have to put together a ton of trainings to send out. If you’re new I’m sure you’re already overwhelmed with that idea.
That’s the beauty of this industry. There are leaders out there that will let you use their training as a way for you to build trust with your list.
You need to build trust and rapport. Send them back to your latest blog post with your emails. Also, provide ways to connect with you on a more personal level. Ask them to go to your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or YouTube. Wherever you have a profile that they can see you as a real person and not just a marketer.
Get to know the people on your list and get inside their head and give them the proper information. Give them really good valuable stuff, tell them the facts, be honest and without the hype, be yourself and they will trust you.
Now here’s the cool part I learned from a few different people but Jonathan Budd put it best. If you provide so much overwhelming value, information, education and training, then when you ask for the sale they will willingly buy it. Not only because they trust you, but because you have given them so much that they view the only way to give you thanks is by giving you their money. Not all of us can be Jonathan Budd (heck some people don’t even like him) but he makes a lot of money from the contacts on his list, and that is why. They are saying thank you for everything they have given them.
It’s so easy to stand out from all the noise. Just do the exact opposite. Everyone is trying to sell crap. Give good stuff and they will see you as a real human being to have a conversation with.
Now, I touched on something in this post that is going to be the subject of the next one. Sharing the training of leaders in this industry. There are those that keep up with what’s going on in this industry and creating new education and training with the changes. Those are the people that you want to connect with and share their information.
And I’m going to warn you. To get to a 6 figure income there is a learning process. Some take 2 months, some 6, some up to 2-5 years to learn how to work in this industry. A lot of marketers don’t like to hear that. And a lot more marketers don’t want you to know that. They want you to think it’s easy so you will join them. There are ways of getting ahead of the learning curve and speeding up the learning process, but until you understand how to work in the online world you won’t be able to speed up your online earnings.
More of that in the next post….
