Ken Wells: The Last American Badass. A Story Of Turkey, Silver, Network Marketing And An Unstoppable Mustache.
Ken Wells: The Last American Badass. A Story Of Turkey, Silver, Network Marketing And An Unstoppable Mustache.
Thanksgiving day in the U.S. is typically filled with turkey, stuffing, time with family bloated bellies and the Lions getting beat at football. In general it’s considered a day off for most people. Ken Well’s is not most people.
He’s hard core, has more tenacity than anyone I’ve ever met, and is backed by the power of Mustachules. (Read about Mustachules on my friend Aki’s blog by Clicking Here)
This past Thanksgiving Ken was asked by some of his team to do a PBR (Private Business Reception) and hold an open Q&A. Ken did this because he knows that it’s our family that has the most skepticism. And the purpose of the PBR wasn’t to enroll the family of his reps, but to inform them and to take the opportunity for his reps to show why they chose to join MLM and Numis Network in particular.
So it wasn’t just a run down of a business presentation. This was an open Q&A where Ken was hit with every question that a room full of people could throw at him and he took the time to talk with everyone.
The internet is powerful. Ken did more than 1 of these meetings on Thanksgiving. Without even traveling. That’s what’s so cool about the internet. He used a web conference program that allowed everyone to see the presentation, and to see Ken, and Ken could see them. In the first meeting he did he was talking with a room full of over 20 people. Yeah, the internet is powerful. But so is Mustachules.
He said it was awesome to be able to watch everyone’s reaction in the room as they went from skepticism to belief and then to supporting their family member in their decision to get involved in Network Marketing…. Except for Grandpa that slept through and woke up to ask if there was anymore pie, but hey, you can’t please everyone.
Ken is a powerhouse in supporting not just his personal downline but others in the Numis family. Earlier this year Ken set up a booth at the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup and brought a few guys from Numis to work and learn from his master networking skills out in the public.
I don’t know what kind of booths you’ve seen set up at a fair but when I saw the set up that Ken had going on I was impressed. He had to be impressive with over 20,000 visitors coming through per day. He had a 4 foot projector screen set up and was streaming live webinars and presentations from the rest of the team to the crowd that he would get to gather at his booth. (I found this out after he had streamed one of the webinars that I had hosted with Andie Petoskey and Kim Tarr)
I’ve never met someone so dynamic, driven and motivating as Ken. He works more hours and is more creative and ingenious than most people I know out there working in the Network Marketing industry. I have learned more from Ken about Networking and getting out there and talking to people and offine marketing than from anyone else I’ve studied.
Watch this video and see how Ken was able to use offline marketing to get people onto his online email list. This is brilliant:
So what really makes Ken so cool? Aki Wood will tell you it’s the power of Mustachules. I just think Ken is one of the few bad asses left out there that’s also willing to give his time to people that are willing to put in the work. He’s a no excuses kind of guy, and I think everyone needs a Ken Wells in their life and on their team.
Who else would take time out of their Thanksgiving day to sit down with their team and take questions from their reps families? I know hundreds of marketers, but I only know one Ken Wells.

“Born To Be Wild” by Steppenwolf to be exact LOL
I loved this Stephanie. Ken Wells is hardcore and doesn’t take the holidays off. He’s not scared of dinosaurs, and isn’t afraid of tigers…. what more could you want? A giant mustache? YES!
A giant Ken Wells/Mustachules Limited Edition Forever Mustache…. on a T-shirt.
Stephanie: Ken sounds like a truly amazing guy, and a very rare breed in today’s world. Too bad we can’t all have a Ken on our teams, but at least we can all emulate him and be better networkers for the effort.
Live with passion and purpose,
Vanessa
Right, everyone needs someone like Ken around. I’ve met a lot of cool people in this industry, but he’s definitely a character that stands out.

Hello Stephanie, Great article on Ken, he is awesome, always will to do anything to help. Thanks, Andrew Gallop
Thanks Andrew
Ken definitely goes out of his way for everyone. I’ve seen people abuse his help though and he has no problems telling them where to take their attitudes either!
Having been one of those that he brought to the fair and allowed to view his greatness close up, I cannot help but agree with the sentiment and the great emulation that is evident from this post. He is man, ney…a god amongst men (MLM God, that is) who is selfless, giving, and a truly great teacher to those who choose to learn from him and see is valuable knowledge as an asset that is to be cherished and never taken for granted. I am honored to call him my friend and my mentor.
Thanks Ken For All you do, fo all of us.
Stephanie,
Only the true leaders write about other leaders! This is a fantastic post to show everyone that if you are looking to build a big business, you need to work holidays and support your team.
Kudos, Ken! I am truly honored to be apart of your team and apart of your mlm family!
Love the passion, humor and raw honesty with which you write about Mustachles/Ken who is truly an amazing leader and person. His creativity and dedication definitely makes him stand out and we’re so glad to be a part of this wonderful family who truly love to help others. Wishing you much continued success friend!
Hello Stephanie
That is some creative stuff.
And that is what network marketing is all about.
Peter
Hey Stephanie.. for the readers:
Ken is one of the coolest guys I know and a true leader. We were at a convention recently and he spent hours with me giving me insight on how I could be more successful in my network marketing business. What makes this so special? Two things, first, it was good advice, and second, I’m not even in his downline! If you have the opportunity to connect with Ken, DO IT… He is an awesome leader.
You’re a Great American Bad Ass Stephanie. Rock on, I’m just getting to read this, my life has been hectic lately…but I’m back! Ken Wells Kicks Ass!
Dude, I am sooooo glad you’re back. I was getting bored to death with all the dry crap on the internet and Ben only has about 1 post a month. I was dyin here.
Here is a little tidbit of info…. All of the printing you see in the Puyallup fair booth was done in D.B Coopers old house which is now a printing shop owned by one of my best friends Dan Ratenbury…
