How to improve a website?

There are a number of measures you can undertake with relative safety that are almost certain to improve how many visitors complete a website goal.

Keep it simple:

Restrain yourself: there’s an awful lot you can do when you create web pages, but don’t try to do them all on a single site! The better sites tend to make consistent use of a limited range of colours, fonts and graphics, and all pages share a look

Clean backgrounds:

The background textures and colour you chose have the ability to estimate the overall appeal of the website. Lots of texture and graphics in the background can be distracting, and the more texture you add to the background, the less noticeable your text and images become.

Offer free, original, and quality content on your site:

This is the most effective means for increasing traffic to a website; offering people something that they cannot obtain elsewhere, or at least, not to the level of quality that you are offering it.

Get more backlinks on your website:

Get a proofreader, Avoid content generators,

Boost your website: Users don’t like having to install plug-ins (and some can’t, e.g. in schools); if you have good reason for relying on plug-ins (such as for virtual reality demonstrations), make sure it’s clear to users what is required, and don’t put it on your home page.

Accessibility:

Making your web pages accessible is both a legal requirement and good practice: accessible design is good design because it forces the designer to provide clear navigation and well-structured content.

Avoid Spamming:

Never, ever SPAM. Your credibility will be gone before you know it, and with it will go your traffic.

Target Users:

Target your users with the content of your website. It will help you to focus on a particular group.

Update your website dates.

Keep up to date such as copyright, last updated etc. Out-dated information makes the site look neglected and unprofessional.

The above steps will definitely improve any website.
