Attraction Marketing Tip: How To Attract Lousy, Low Quality, Minimum To Zero Results Oriented People To Your Network Marketing Business.

What? You mean you don’t want to work with people that produce absolutely nothing and leaves you to do ALL the work with no effort from them in return?

Hmmmm. Imagine that.

I bet you want to attract and work with people that are sharp and highly motivated individuals that aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work!

Are you saying “That’s what I’ve been trying to do!”

Well there’s something I have seen that is going to be attracting a lot of non producing people to you. If you’re doing this then it is the first thing you want to change.

Now if you’re not comfortable working with people that are ambitious and highly motivated and all you want to do is generate and a supplemental income to your day job, then this isn’t for you and don’t bother reading any further. It’s probably going to offend you anyway.

There are 2 major things I see other marketers doing that aren’t helping them one bit. And when I talk to them and ask them about their success they tell me “Stephanie, I get a lot of response from people that are unemployed and underemployed but when they join my business they don’t do much and I have to keep recruiting new people as the other ones drop out.” Welcome to attrition.

Here’s the two most often found common themes with these marketers.

1. They are promoting something that is free to join. Realize that if it is free for you to join. Then that means it is free for everyone else to join as well. Even low cost programs and companies that only cost $10 to $100 to join are going to produce the same results. If you want to make serious money you have to be willing to make a serious commitment to promote a serious product.

2. They are promoting by leading with “I help average people make an extra income from home.” Right here they are declaring that they ONLY want to work with people that are going to do little to no work to produce just enough to say that they make some money.

The marketers that are appealing to an average audience that wants to produce just enough results to call it “extra income” are going to get just that.

When I get in contact with someone that isn’t getting the results they want the first thing I discuss with them is who is their target market. And what are they doing to attract that group of people to them. Quite often the two things are not in sync and that is why they are getting results that are poor in comparison to the results that they want to get.

So if you want to attract high end quality prospects and enroll heavy hitters into your business put yourself in this mentality: “I’m empowering extraordinary people to produce massive incomes!”

That generates a more positive energy already doesn’t it?

Focus on WHO you want to attract, then APPEAL to them as your target market. You have to think about what motivates them and what would get their attention. If you wanted to generate a ridiculously large amount of money in Network Marketing, what would you be looking for? Someone that works with average people that only want an “extra income”, or someone that will show you how to create massive success!

It’s a really hard question to ask yourself but if you were someone that wanted to be serious in Network Marketing,,, “Would you sign up with yourself?”

Top 10 Reasons No One Is Following You On Twitter

1. Profile Picture. Is it you? Or your company logo. No one cares about logos. Twitter is a social site. People follow people. If they want to follow a logo they’ll go follow the actual company.

2. Your Name. Is it your name? Or are you “companyguy” or are you “mlmcompanymom” You might have a really catchy name, but these are usually passed over and people follow those that have their real name, or they will once again follow the actual company.

3. Twitter is for Tweeting. Are you sending out any tweets? I get a lot of followers that never tweet a thing. There’s no reason to follow someone that doesn’t say anything. There’s nothing to gain or learn from them.

4. Spammers and Promoters. It’s ok to send out a link to a product or company…. Once in awhile. But you have to send out tweets that are worth something too!

5. Unfollowers. If you’re gonna follow somebody, stay with them unless they offend you or just aren’t providing anything useful. Twitter also watches out for this. If you follow a bunch of people, and then quickly UNfollow as soon as they follow you back,,, you’re going to be flagged as suspicious, plus it’s just rude.

6. Direct Message Spam. I don’t get any direct messages that are worth reading anymore. So I don’t bother looking at them. 99% of them are automated and totally impersonal.

7. Compulsive @ Mentions. I like getting messages this way because of reason number 6. But I’m seeing spamming this way too. Being @ mentioned in the same tweet as a link to a product or promotion is rude. What’s worse is when I’m being @ mentioned by people just so they can look cool because they are mentioning someone that has a bigger presence than them in the industry. Piggy backing like this is almost worse than name dropping. It’s also rude to do this in Facebook with tagging. Don’t put anyone’s name on something unless they are part of the content you are sharing or it’s going to be of value to them. If you aren’t sure then don’t do it.

8. Profile Bio. Um, who are you? No, don’t tell me about your company, I can go follow companies if I want to know about companies,,, remember? Who are YOU, what makes you unique and interesting to people? How to you attract attention?

9. Profile Background. You might not think this is important, and perhaps it’s not. But if you look at the real players in network marketing, they have custom profile backgrounds with all the ways to reach them. There’s a couple that keep it simple, but those are the REAL big names that don’t need to put out their info, infact they don’t want it out there anymore because they’ve gotten too big in the industry to be getting messages from everyone.

10. Communication. Twitter is a social site. Strike up conversations through @ mentions to connect with people. Always remember that in this industry people join people. They aren’t interested in businesses and opportunities. They already have one of those, chances are it’s not working out to great for them. They’re looking for answers and connections with people that can help and give answers.

If you’ve been having trouble with no response on Twitter and no one following you back look over your profile and Tweet habits and make changes to either stop or start doing some of these things listed above.

Success in Network Marketing is not dependent upon how elaborate your marketing plan is.

The more simple it is, the more easily you can teach someone else how to do it and the more easily they will learn it and be able to teach it to someone else.

This applies to Offline and Online methods! Whichever you choose to use, or if you use BOTH!

Remember The Good Ol’ Days Of Marketing?

I’m talking about commercials and magazine ads from way back in the day.

When everyone in the commercials had big smiles, were overjoyed to use the products and they never ever ever never never bashed the competition.

They always referred to “Brand X”

On TV commercials now you will see all kinds of companies bashing other companies. Whether they say the name of the company they are bashing or not, does not matter, you still know who they’re putting down.

(By the way,,, I’m a PC, I just think this commercial if funny.)

Those old ads that used to be on TV had some integrity to them,,, even if they were really corny.

As internet marketers we should live up to that same integrity. I’ve never heard a leader in network marketing talk bad about a particular company in their marketing campaigns. Sometimes we get a little critical but the top earners will not say “My company is better than Company XYZ because Company XYZ steals candy from babies and kicks your mother in the shins.”

Oh wait,,,, I’m wrong. Top earners and leaders DO say “Company XYZ” because they keep neutral and don’t attack the integrity of other companies and they will actually use the phrase: “Company XYZ”.

While we are on the subject of not using names, I would like to add an important note.

Name Dropping.

Never ever ever,,, NEVER pull the trick of “name dropping”.

Just this past week I have met 2 different people that started “name dropping” on some people that are members in the marketing system I use.

The first of the two claimed he helped the founders create it. He was flat out lying. How did I know that? He didn’t even know the correct last names of the founders. Nor did he know there was more than one founder of the system.

The second one told me he was friends with another one of the members in the system and that he had dinner with him the night before. He was also lying. How did I know that? Because the member he was talking about is my sponsor and was speaking at a presentation in Palm Springs, CA with one of the owners of my primary company and this guy that was telling me stories was in New England.

So DO NOT drop names in this industry. You never know if who you are talking to actually knows the person whose name you are “dropping.” And you could just end up looking like a fool.

If you are ever in doubt, there is really only one name you should use when you are speaking with someone. And that is the name of the other person. Because that is the only person they truly care about. And everyone loves to hear their own name.

I learned this and other ways of marketing with integrity from a guy who I won’t “name drop” by clicking here.

The Laws Of Duplication for success in any MLM company. Your success is completely in your control.

Your Sponsor has zero responsibility for your success.

Your success is totally up to you.

The person that enrolled you has a responsibility to be available to you and to provide you with the tools for you create success in your business.

But they are neither personally responsible nor accountable for the outcome of what you do with the knowledge and tools passed on to you.

As a network marketer and entrepreneur your keys to success are within you. Your sponsor has merely provided you with the car and the knowledge on how to drive it. YOU have to turn the key and start it and put it in drive.

That may sound harsh to you, but remember, I’m the one that tells you what no one else will.

There is a bright side though. The success of your sponsor is linked to your success. It is in their best interest for you to succeed.

Without your success it is more responsibility and work placed on them.

Have you heard this saying: “Would you rather have 100% effort from one person or 1% effort from 100 people?”

It’s much easier to teach 100 people one simple task and have it duplicated than to teach 1 person how to do everything. 100 people means 100 times the available time to perform the tasks.

The sum of the parts is greater than the whole.

This is a business of leverage.

It is simply teaching people how to utilize the time and talents of others. It is a duplication of efforts.

Laws of Duplication:

1. KISS – Keep It Short & Simple – Always ask yourself: Is this something that anyone can do? You want people to see it as easy and that they can do it. If you are over complicating things then no one will be able to duplicate your efforts,,, and no one will want to either. You want people to say “I can do it, and I wouldn’t mind doing it everyday.”

2. It Has To Be Able To Work Anywhere – It needs to be simple enough that someone living in the middle of nowhere with no friends or contacts can duplicate. It needs to be able to work without your continued presence and holding the hand of everyone in your downline.

3. It Has To Be Able To Work For Anyone – The most socially inept person with zero knowledge about network marketing must be able to duplicate your success. People have to be able to have a chance at making network marketing work for them.

4. The Law Of 3rd Party – Whenever you are presenting your business you want anything or anyone other than you presenting your business. Whether that be a guest speaker or an online webinar or a recorded presentation.

This law ties all the others together. You could be an expert on your company’s product, compensation, and history of the founders. But it is still not wise to present all of that info because it takes a long time to gain that knowledge and you want what you do to appear simple, work anywhere, and for anyone. A new person in the company cannot do a full presentation, but they can invite someone to see one.

How you present the business to your prospects is how they are going to be picturing themselves presenting the business.

Randy Gage is very successful in network marketing. He gives presentations of his company all the time. But he does not give presentations to his own prospects. Because he understands that what he does needs to look like it’s super easy to do.

So is your sponsor responsible for your success? No.

But, if they want success of their own, then they are responsible for making sure you are duplicate their success and make yourself victorious. Therefore, as a sponsor and mentor, it is also your responsibility to do the same.

Most companies offer "me too" products that fall into predictable categories that are the current fad. How to find a company with a unique product that will profit in the market.

You know that every company has the best product,,, just ask them they will all tell you.

Since everyone believes theirs is the best how are you supposed to know which one really is?

And if something is new to the market how can you tell if it’s going to last?

Fad Vs. Trend

Commonly mistaken as synonyms there is a distinct difference between these two terms.

Fad:

Short lived and with no real value to offer society,,, think Backstreet Boys, Beanie Babies, snap bracelets, Clear Pepsi, the Macarena, gigapets, corsets, Crocs, Bellbottoms, Ouija boards and Disco.

Trend:

May take longer to develop but their effect is long lasting and often have a permanent effect on business and culture,,, think of Microsoft, the internet, credit/debit cards, Nintendo, post-its, texting, superstores (like Walmart), fast food, coffee shops/cafes and Guitar Hero,,, ok maybe not Guitar Hero, but I like it,,, they tell me I ROCK!

Today’s fad is tomorrow’s flop.

Tomorrow’s trend is today’s opportunity.

It’s not always easy to spot a trend ahead of time to be able to capitalize on it. Not many people saw how Microsoft was going to take off, but when it did people were kicking themselves for not getting on board at the beginning.

At one time Network Marketing itself was considered a fad. Currently it is a 31 Billion dollar industry with 15 Million people involved in Network Marketing in the US alone. Globally it is a 114 Billion dollar industry with 63 million Network Marketers.

Even still though there are critics of Network Marketing.

When anything new starts to trend it faces criticism. There are 3 phases before something is deemed to be real and successful.

First it faces ridicule. People make fun of it because they don’t understand it.

Second, it faces violent opposition. People become critics because they don’t want to be look foolish because originally they made fun and laughed at an idea or opportunity.

Last, it becomes self evident.

Once it is self evident there is no more need to supply the burden of proof and defend the truth. All those who still attack the truth are considered either ignorant, foolish or just plain argumentative and have no regard whether anything is right or wrong, they just like to argue.

It has now become self evident that business is now commonly performed through Networking. Both offline with breakfast meetings and social receptions organized for and by local business owners through BNI and Chamber of Commerce and other organizations. And also online through Facebook, LinkedIn, Meetup and Myspace.

But there are still people that are resistant to Network Marketing. One of the biggest reasons they are hesitant to join a company is because of the product. Most companies offer ‘me-too’ products that fall into several predictable categories, nutrition, weight loss, skin care, telecommunications, household items, super-juices, and the like. The truth is that most people simply can’t justify purchasing those types of products through the means of Network Marketing when the products are available elsewhere, and quite often for less money.

Further, these companies often face fierce competition because there is more than one company promoting very similar products. Those looking from the outside in can’t see the difference between Juice A and Juice B, therefore they don’t join either.

So what if there was a Network Marketing company that had a unique product with zero competition. Wouldn’t it make natural sense to join that company over another? On top of having zero competition, what if that company had exclusive rights to that market without the risk of another company moving in and selling the same product? What if the product was a tangible asset that would last for years and not end up as an empty bottle of vitamins or lotion.

Now that sounds like a company that has recognized a trend and has satisfied the need of marketers that can’t justify joining yet another juice or pill company.

There is nothing wrong with joining one of the traditional product MLM companies, but since they don’t stand out for themselves, then it means even more work for the marketer promoting the product. The network marketers has to have a VERY powerful, compelling and convincing story about why they chose that company.

Because in the end, it’s not about what YOU like, it’s about what the CONSUMER is attracted to.

Whether you like the product and think it’s the coolest thing ever is only part of the equation. Others have to see value in it and want it, this is more important than your own desires in a product.

Highly successful entrepreneurs are able to recognize trends early and are able to find ways to fill the want and needs of the market rather than their own personal wants. This is the difference between a fad and a trend, and the difference between an idea and an opportunity.

Finding a company with a unique product that suits the needs of the network marketing industry is increasingly difficult and rare.

To: My Fellow Marketer

From: Stephanie Deneke

Re: Email Marketing Vomit

Right now is a prosperous day for email marketers.

Your visit to this post is going to change your emails
from noise amongst other marketers to a prominent
beacon in your prospects inbox.

Everyone else is sales pitching in their emails and it’s
just a bunch of puke in my inbox.

The remainder of this post will address how you can
be a pretty little cupcake in the middle of a food fight.

Best Regards.

Wouldn’t you pay more attention
to an email written in the above format
than to one that looks like this:

Hi Mr(s). Soandso I am writing today because I want to show you how to market in this industry like Mr. Guruspecialist that is not in my upline or anywhere in my team but I like to say his name so you think I know him personally I am going to tell you how to use email marketing to target your leads but first check out my sweet company replicated website and tell me what you think then I’m going to send you some other stuff and eventually I will get to my point in this email and tell you that if you want to write really effective emails do exactly the opposite of me and pay attention to Stephanie Deneke because she can write way betterer emails than me thank you for reading all of my “I statements” that no one cares about. Sincerely Allaboutme

…. ok so that’s an exaggeration but not really to far from the truth.

Most of the emails I receive in my inbox from other marketers is just a long rambling that doesn’t stay on point and doesn’t hold my interest past the first sentence.

Use these tactics to create an effective email everytime:

1. Use “you statements” – Above all else people care about one thing, themselves. “I statements” aren’t about them, they’re about you. Chances are they don’t care a lick about who you are and what you want because they don’t really know you.

Use this tactic even if the receiver of your email is someone you know well. Even your own mother would prefer to read about herself. She may not admit it, but it will give her warm fuzzy feelings when the focus is on her, and that is what you want everyone to feel.

2. Stay On Topic – Each email should focus on only ONE topic. With only ONE piece of information about that topic. Refer the reader back to your website, blog or whatever contains the full body of information. Email is to spark an interest.

Everyone else is selling in their emails, if you are providing a sample of useful information and then directing people to the rest of the info then you are getting them out of their noisy email inbox and into your world on your webpage.

You put a lot of work into creating your website. You designed it to sell. That’s what it’s for. Email is not. Using email to pitch your sales is redundant and demeans all the work you put into your website.

3. Have A Plan – Use a simple format and follow it for each email. The first example shows this format:

Who: The TO and FROM lines. It may seem redundant, but there’s a reason. It makes it personal and shows that you are paying attention to who the email is going to. Also, restating who the email is from keeps the reader from having to look back into the sender line of the email. Spammers don’t do this, you will stand out as reputable.

What: Clearly state the subject, even if it the same as the email subject line. Once again the reader won’t have to look back at the subject line of the email heading. Also, if you use a good copy writing hook to get a reader to open an email, this is the place to write a more concise subject.

Why: Why are you writing this email? Remember, it is for the reader, use a “you statement.”

When: Tell the reader to do it now! Let them know your info is time sensitive and there is an urgency to act! The reader should feel that if they keep reading the other emails they may miss their window of opportunity you are opening.

How: They can’t get to your info if you don’t tell them how! They need to know if they are supposed to go somewhere else.

Where: This is the location you are sending them to. Such as your website. Specifically tell your reader to click on the link you want them to go to. It registers as a command that they need to respond to.

Answer all of these questions to create a concise effective email.

Mandatory!!! – - – - Visual Effects – Hit enter yourself instead of allowing the email to word wrap. Emails that fill the whole screen are difficult to read and follow, so are super long paragraphs. Break your paragraphs up into short blocks of text.

Email is a piece of media, make it appealing to the senses and you’ve got it nailed.

Will the great debate over offline and online methods ever be settled? Probably not completely. But I have a prediction for the future of MLM methods. I also know Daegen Smith, Mike Dillard and David Wood agree with me on this.

The future of MLM lies in the merging of the two methods.

MLM is simply an industry of relationships.

Even when marketing online relationships are being built. Online marketers call it “building their list”, offline marketers call it their “warm market”. Essentially offline and online methods are the same, yet different.

The online methods allow for more time leverage. There is a potential for unlimited exposures to your primary business through the use of the internet using the effort it would take to make one offline presentation. However, even if you record a live presentation of yourself, it’s not very personal and it loses some of the intimate connection that an offline presentation can give.

Building excitement for a live webinar presentation can be effective and be used with online invites and in a home presentation. With technology it is possible to do an in home presentation with your guests watching a live broadcast together with 100’s of others that are watching through the internet.

Sitting around a computer screens with your home presentation guests may sound silly but I’m challenging you that it can be effective when done properly. When prospects can see that there are other people interested in an MLM opportunity it creates a phenomenon. Just the presence of other participants creates a testimony that this MLM opportunity is attracting attention and is worth listening to.

That is the purpose of building anticipation and excitement for home presentations. This same thing is being utilized in the online marketing setting. By creating a feeling of urgency, value and limited registered guest spots people will get on a webinar presentation and feel the same synergy and the excitement of an offline presentation.

Already marketers use a combination of offline and online techniques, if you’re marketing online you’re doing it without knowing.

Do you have a Facebook or Twitter? Your friends list/followers are part of your online warm market.

You aren’t going to make a fortune in this industry by looking at your computer screen. This is an industry of building trust and relationships. In order to build trust and relationships you must connect and communicate with people, which is exactly what offline marketers do. Pick up the phone and call your prospects or initiate a conversation with someone on your friends list, and ask the Magic Question.

Really, I mean it. Go do it…. Read what the Magic Question is first though.

Here’s to OUR Success,

Promoting your MLM on the internet is 99.9% impossible if you are just sending people directly to your replicated company website. Everyone in your company has one. (Why your website is ruining your MLM)

You need your own customizable website with your face and your message that promotes you as THE person to join in your company.

It’s possible to create your own website to do this, but it’s highly technical, labor intensive and can cost a lot of money. There’s a lot of research on how to create the content and how to design the website code. Your job is not to be a technical guru, it’s to market.

It makes sense to use someone else’s system because you are wasting your valuable time if you are going to try and do this technical work on your own.

There are several different systems available but not all of them are up to par. There are certain criteria that a marketing system needs to meet. If it doesn’t meet all of these criteria it is not going to be fully effective for marketing your MLM opportunity.

1. Training – At no extra cost. The actual creators of the marketing system offer consistent and up to date training on how to market and how to use their system. Getting training from your sponsor and a few others is not enough. Most likely they are just learning how to use the system too. You need training bigger than that.

2. Custom Capture Page – At no extra cost. I’ve come across both free and highly expensive systems. I’ve only found one system that let’s you FULLY customize your capture page without having to do any upgrading. This is important because you want to be able to put your pictures, videos and content on your page. If you can’t do this with a marketing system then it is worthless to you because this is the whole purpose of using the system. The system also needs to have several standard generic capture pages for you to choose from until you have learned the skills to fully customize your sites. This allows you to be in a position to have success with the system from Day 1.

3. Promote ANY Company – At no extra cost. Marketing systems are a tool for promoting your PRIMARY business. Be sure that the system you choose allows you to use it with any business. There are some that only allow the usage of a primary company that has previously been integrated and approved by the marketing system.

Bonus Tip – An Independent Autoresponder – An autoresponder is the service that sends out your follow up emails. Your marketing system should allow for the use of an independent autoresponder because it guarantees that you own those leads and not the system that you are using. You want to be able to take your list of contacts with you. Also, if in the future you do become a technical guru and start creating your own webpages you can insert capture boxes that drop prospects into your autoresponder. If you are unfamiliar with using an independent autoresponder (such as Aweber) the system should also have it’s own built in autoresponder. An independent autoresponder will be an added cost,,, but the autoresponder that is built in to the marketing system should of course be at no extra cost. The marketing system you choose should also not penalize you for using an independent autoresponder.

One More Bonus Tip – Premade Follow Up Emails – Eventually you will want to customize all the emails in your autoresponder but to get started immediately with marketing a generic list of emails will give you a jump start….. and you guessed it, it should be at no extra cost to you.

I’ve done the research and found a lead capture system that already meets this criteria. Access this simple system to promote and market your primary business online.

You're in a new MLM, but your friends and family hate you because of the last one. Here's how to fix it.

The most common MLM recruiting strategy that sponsors give the their new distributors is to make a list of 100 friends and family. Then invite them to a home meeting to give a business presentation.

And everyone hates doing it.

For those that have done this, they have usually done it wrong. And it’s not your fault if you have. The blame goes back up your upline for not showing you the right way,,, if they even know how to do it the right way.

Anyone that has used this method could share a story about friends not returning phone calls anymore and awkward moments around the family during the holidays. Everyone is on alert for a sales pitch.

In this industry it is necessary to at some point tap into your list of family and friends. It’s better to do it sooner than later. Doing it sooner is better than later because getting started in online marketing takes longer than getting started with your friends and family. Contacting those you already know can be done in 1 minute.

What do you do if you already went through your list of who you know?

You didn’t want to do it the first time, (some of you may have done it a 2nd time) so you may be thinking it’s out of the question to approach them again.

Wrong. You can.

First you have to APOLOGIZE. And do it sincerely. Don’t just say the words “I’m sorry”. Acknowledge that got them involved in something that just wasn’t that great of an opportunity and then use the words “I apologize”. It carries more meaning.

It’s ok to admit to them that you were naïve, foolish, ignorant or whatever and that you are not with that company anymore and that you have learned from your mistake.

If they don’t throw you out of their house or hang up before you finish, it’s ok to ask them if they are open to the idea of making more money. If they say no then leave it at that and tell them that you won’t bother them again.

Anyone that has already talked to their list of friends and family before actually have an advantage over those who haven’t. The initial fear has already been conquered.

Still terrified of approaching your friends and family. Seek an alternative with this simple system.
