Who is this girl?
Who Is Stephanie Deneke?
I’m driven and set high standards, and strive to lift up others to set goals and standards for themselves. To never let anyone steal their dreams, and to empower them to tell anyone that gets in their way to either help with the mission, or just sit down and watch.
Because there are 3 types of people in this world:
Those Who Make Things Happen
Those Who Watch Things Happen
Those Who Say “What Just Happened?”
Which one are you?
My Story:
I’m not going to tell you some “copy and paste” template sort of “my story” of how I struggled in Network Marketing and MLM until I found some magic answer and how I now teach others how to be successful from home. Because we’ve all heard that crap before. You want to know who I really AM.
Well, I grew up right along Lake Michigan and am the original “Mitten Kitten” in the Mitten Force. I never expected that I would be involved in Network Marketing because my parents were in Amway and I hated having to use the “Glister” toothpaste. (We lived 40 minutes from Amway, everyone in Michigan was in Amway back then)
I got a break while I was still in high school and worked as a receptionist at a Real Estate office. I received my Realtor license and a position in the office as soon as I graduated high school. I made some attempts at college but I spent more time studying books and subjects outside of college than I did when I was enrolled.
I spent about 6 years in the Real Estate world but never had any real love for it, therefore I didn’t have the passion to stay in it. I moved on and found myself working in the automotive industry.
It was by total chance that I fell into that career as well and I got the opportunity to move up and work in management within a couple different Ford dealerships. I loved it and hated it at the same time. I sometimes worked 80 hours a week, there was always some customer or employee complaining, but I did work with some cool people and I’ve always had a love for cars.
But we all know the recent story of the automotive industry. Ford didn’t take a bailout, they made in-house cuts. One of their tactics was to close down some of their dealerships. The owner of the dealership that I was with was offered a buy out and he took it and went with an early retirement from the auto industry.
It was the best thing that happened to me.
Even though I lost my house, and my sweet truck,,, it was still the best thing that could have happened. If it hadn’t gone down the way it did I would still probably be working there.
The day the dealership closed is when everything in my life changed. I made the decision that I was NEVER going to let someone else be responsible for my paycheck. I was never going to be dependent on someone else for my employment. However, I had no clue how to make that possible. So I had to get creative.
I discovered Network Marketing by total accident while searching through job listings for working at home or telecommuting and when there was the promise of being my own boss I was sold.
So in 2009 as a single mom of a 2 year old, living off unemployment, staying at a friend’s house in the spare bedroom and surviving on WIC I decided to start my own Network Marketing business without any idea on what the hell I was doing.
I spent every spare minute studying and absorbing any training I could. But it wasn’t the webinars and e-courses that made me be successful. It was the new family that I had within Network Marketing. These are the crazy, eccentric, radical and forward thinking people that I call my real home. These are my brothers and sisters.
Within my marketing family I have a crazy Uncle Andrew, a space cadet for a cousin named Dave. And my sisters Kim, Andie and Erin. My new dad Niel. My brothers Aki, Ken (Mustachules) and Ben. Best of all within this group of people that I call family I’ve found the greatest support possible and the love of my life Blaine
(plus there is an endless list of others that push me hard to be better everyday, and there’s no whiners or complainers!)
Network marketing has truly changed my life.
Without these people in my life I would not have not have looked inside myself to dig deep and discover things about myself I never even knew existed.
I have been able to accomplish amazing results in both my business and personal life.
I like to be open and honest,,, because when you’re not, it shows.
This is my true story. It’s the garbage I went through to get to where I am. And the people that are a part of the journey will always be a part of my life.
(Click the play button and you will hear in my own words the challenges I faced and the choices I made to get to where I am today)

There’s one more important piece of the story. If you don’t get this part none of the rest matters. What was the real secret to success? It’s the same secret for all the other successful marketers out there too.
We picked up the phone. And we prospected our business.
Sounds pretty old fashioned doesn’t it?
The internet is cool, but it’s just another tool for finding people to CALL and connect with.
So, if you’re sitting behind your computer all day trying to get the perfect header for your website,, or the perfect Kiyosaki quote for your Twitter,,,, then you’re skipping the money making activities.
And if you’re not doing money making activities, then you’re not making money.
It’s that simple.
I encourage you right now to take a moment, evaluate how you spend your day, and what are you doing to build your business. If you are not showing your FULL company presentation to at least 3 people per day, then contact me right now.
I’m excited to have you as part of my family!

Hi Stephanie,
Nice looking blog! It is refreshing to read a “different” story than you generally read about online. I was similar in that I started out marketing online as well (approaching friends and family is just not my style). You are absolutely correct that you need to learn as you go…this is a business where you must take massive action to be successful!
Keep up the great work.

Hi Stephanie
I saw your comment on Ryan Deiss and smiled, then looked at your photo (which I thought was really nice LOL) – so here I am!
I too wasted a lot of time ‘learning and not earning’ – and even more lost time trying to ‘learn and not doing’ – reading and watching is all very well, but there comes a time when you need to ‘take action’.
So I agree with your post ‘wholeheartedly’ and urge others to ‘jump in’ and not waste time.

Man, does this sound familiar. I look forward to reading your blog and getting to know you.
Nice job, Stephanie, sharing your Valuable Experiences, so others can benefit — and isn’t that what the blogosphere is all about. The sequel, of course, is what you now market and how you decided on your business.
Stephanie,
Actually, I think it’s not so stupid to spend time studying and not doing. Taking actions wildly with no clear focus can also cost money and not bring in any funds. Sometimes it pays to step back for awhile, study what you need to understand and learn, and then get yourself ready to jump in and do the hard work. And it is hard work. There is no quick and easy way to build a business, online or any other.
Thanks for your authentic and interesting story.
Warmly,
Erica
Great point. Going in blindly and foolishly will get little results. Looking back there was a lot that I learned along the way that I could have started implementing a lot sooner.
Thanks for your insight!
Phenomenal Blog! I saw your post in fearless networkers on facebook. The “For Girls Only” post with the wonder woman picture was genius! It got my click and now we know each other! Good luck with Numis! Its a great company.

Stephanie I LOVE your story! Especially the part about, “We picked up the phone. And we prospected our business.”. If you had never done this one simple part…things might be very different.
Thanks so much for connecting with me!
James H.
James, you’re so awesome. You have no idea how refreshing it is to connect with someone that understands we have to actually talk to people in order to grow a business. I come across too many people that hide behind having to build the perfect blog or advertising campaign in order to build their business. It’s no wonder so many people quit early. Doing that kind of stuff takes time and there’s a lot of skills to be learned. I think by adulthood we all know how to dial a phone and speak to people LOL
Just came across your blog while researching for my current info product. Was refreshing to stop by, check you out, hear your story. Nice little site you have. Best wishes for an incredibly, bright, happy and prosperous future.
