3 Roadblocks To Making Money With A Blog: SOLVED!

I’ve now setup over 100 blogs for Network Marketers, and I accomplished that in just under 6 months.

While I’m proud of the work I’ve done it revealed something to me that bothered me.

Even with a highly optimized site that was systemized to automatically get syndicated only about 1 in 20 sites were getting any traffic, and out of those only 2 were getting any leads.

At first I blamed myself, but then I realized. That even with the shiniest of new cars all you can do is sit there and look at it if you don’t know how to drive.

So I took a close look at what the source of the problem was.

1. Techie Stuff

When I finish setting up a new blog for someone I hand over complete control to them along with 3 instructional videos on how to use each part of the site along with how to create and publish posts and pages.

The problem comes when there is a new plugin or advancement in blogging. The best example is Facebook Comments. People struggle with implementing that plugin the most.

And they waste hours trying to figure it out instead of moving on to the more important things,,, such as creating profits.

2. What To Write

About half of the blogs I’ve created for people are left sitting empty, however my inbox is full of messages asking me what they should write about.

3. Triple Threat Monetization

This issue has 3 parts to it on it’s own. Because there’s 3 parts that you need to know how to do in order to actually convert sales on your own personal blog.

A) People Don’t Know How To Drive Traffic

Even with a site setup to notify 100 pinging services and to send a new sitemap to the major search engines it’s completely useless without a basic understanding of keywords. I saw a consistent pattern of generalized keywords that were being overused by every blogger and not only that,,, but even though you would think they were highly searched keywords,,, they really weren’t.

Here’s an example. The most commonly used keyword I see being used is “mlm success tips”

However, looking at Google Adwords Keyword Tool there’s not a whole lot of people searching for that term on the internet… and that is showing the GLOBAL searches.

Look down a little further is another overused keyword: “internet mlm success” … it only gets searched 91 times per month GLOBALLY and worse yet it has HIGH competition.

And keyword research and automated services within a blog are only a piece of the big picture of generating traffic. Most will neglect using Tribal Syndication and Social Sharing thinking that they don’t want to share on their own social sites for fear of distracting from their own posts. (HUGE mistake,,, social and tribal sharing leverages having 100’s of other people share your content,,, why wouldn’t you take advantage of that?)

B) Convert Traffic Into Leads

This is where the real marketing comes in. All of the setup, research, writing and sharing is a complete WASTE OF TIME if you don’t have a really strong optin form that grabs attention and gets people to optin on your site.

And unfortunately there are very few people that truly master this skill.

Obviously since over 90% of marketers are failing online.

C) Convert Leads Into Sales

This is the most important part of having your blog and the entire purpose.

Making money from it.

You’re lucky if someone gets this far.

And this part is crucial. You need to have the ability to not only make an initial sale to someone, but to also upsell and then eventually join your network marketing business.

Now if I just scared the hell out of you and made you think that there’s no chance that you will ever make money with your blog… there’s still hope.

Solution: You can do 1 of 3 things.

1. Spend a LOT of time (which equals money in the long run) studying direct response marketing and ad copy and create your own. (If you’re already making money with your blog on your own you’ve either already studied this or you are one of the lucky few to be naturally talented at adcopy.)

2. Pay someone a lot of money to write it all for you.

3. Leverage a system that not only handles ad copy and marketing, they provide with the fully optimized blogging platform, coach you and tell you what to write about, tell you how to choose your keywords, and they monitor what’s new in the techy blog stuff and set it up and integrate it for you.

But damn, that sounds more expensive than just doing it on your own doesn’t it?

How many hours have you already spent working on setting up a blog, staring at a blank screen thinking of something to write, adding keywords to your tags that aren’t even relevant and then copying and pasting your link manually…. How many hours a day have you wasted on that?

If you could have made $25/hour during that time instead,,,, how much money did you just waste?

If it were only $10/hour,,, how much money did you waste?

All that time fiddling around with your blog just cost you hundreds of dollars,,,, probably per week,,, didn’t it?

Yeah well, if I could solve all 3 of these problems (including all 3 parts of problem #3) would it be worth a 20 minute video?
